He'd have to drill holes in it to fit a standard ATX PSU properly, and if he went with a unit with a rear fan, would probably need to remove some sheet metal to avoid blocking airflow from the fan.It's just an option. The mounting holes are placed differently. Hopefully, someone here can help me soon, as most of the parts will be arriving shortly.I'm not sure why people are suggesting he go with an ATX PSU in a case that's clearly designed to use a mATX PSU. That looked weird for a moment (or maybe I'm just really tired):Hopefully this will provide more clues as to which power supply would work (and hopefully something by PC Power & Cooling will still work).Also, this review by Tom's Hardware shows that there is actually a 60mm fan on the side, and two 40mm fans in the back, so I'm confused about the whole fan configuration, here. It's possible a suitable xATX PSU for an 8800GTS gaming system may not ever be available.That Seasonic is larger than the link states, it is actually 3 inches high (not 2.5 inches shown on the link) vs. I just don't understand Monarch's thinking setting up this supposed 'gaming' SFF Case for a lowly mATX PS.Anyway, all he has to do is install the motherboard in the tray with the CPU and HS/Fan mounted and see if the ATX PSU fits before doing any drilling. Drilling a couple of holes isn't a big deal.

The same problem exists vertically.The dearth of high quality PSU's in the SFX & mATX form factor is one of the things that's turned me off of building a compact system for anybody. They apparently offer a 450W SFX PSU, but I don't know how good it is.I don't know if that backplane has enough room to drill holes wide enough apart for an ATX PSU though, sinc those are 114mm apart for ATX (pg 30), while SFX is only 88mm apart (pg 48). I've built a couple of them, but wouldn't recommend carrying them around to LAN parties since they are not made with heavy steel or aluminum panels.If he's ok with drilling, he might be able to make it fit, but that case actually uses and SFX PSU, not ATX. So you're only talking about less than 1/2 inch more space above the CPU HS/Fan.Regarding the QPack, they are a little on the flimsy side and also are space challenged for some larger ATX PSUs. The link used the dimensions of a cheaper model without that external fan assembly.
